Mary Sullivan -

Secretary@m-m-h-c.org
As an undergraduate at both Emerson College and The University of MA, Boston, Mary majored in American Culture and Communications with an emphasis in Film and Video Production. Graduating from U Mass Boston in 1991, Mary relocated to Chicago, to pursue a career in television and film production.
In 1996, her life path shifted with the birth her son, Alessandro. Being a parent redirected her to primary parenting blended with researching infant brain development. When Alessandro entered school, Mary began a master’s program at the Erikson Institute in Chicago, IL, studying infant brain development. In 2008, she completed her studies, earning an M.S. in Child Development with a Specialization in Infancy.
Still in Chicago, Mary worked within Early Intervention Services as a developmental therapist, then as the supervisor for an Early Head Start Program.
Later as a private consultant for the Chicago Department of Family Services, Mary led training programs for Early Head Start and Head Start Teachers in Chicago.
Mary moved to Belfast in 2020 to create her dream, Gypsy Rose Hill Farm. This is both her home and a place where all, especially children and youth, can explore the natural world, gardening, and the healing potential of both wild and domesticated animals. In addition, she is the Outreach Coordinator for St. Margaret’s’ Episcopal Church in Belfast.
Suetta Tenney -
M.D., F.A.C.P. Board TreasurerEmail:
Treasurer@m-m-h-c.org
Suetta was impacted by growing up in a single-parent home, with two relatives with significant disabilities, living in an inner city. She carried these memories into community-based primary care. If patients did not feel listened to, they would not share the important, very private information that was critical to excellent holistic primary care. She trained in women’s health, addictions, mind-body medicine, geriatrics, and hospice and palliative care.
Suetta has always been an active volunteer in her community, with the YWCA, scouts, and faith communities. In the 1990s, she spearheaded a faith-based group that created her town’s first middle school after-school program, then transitioned this program to the YMCA.
After her children were grown, Suetta followed a lifelong dream to live in a rural area and relocated to Stockton Springs, Maine – working in geriatrics before retiring. In addition to the Midcoast Maine Homeless Coalition, she is on the board of But Still I Am One, volunteers with the Restorative Justice Project in Belfast, and is a Board Member of Penobscot Community Health Center.
